Tiruchirappalli City

Tiruchirappalli is an ancient city in Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The city has also been ruled by the Mutharaiyars, Pandyas, Pallavas, Vijayanagar Empire, Nayak Dynasty, the Carnatic state, and the British. The most prominent historical monuments in Tiruchirappalli include the Rockfort, the Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam, and the Jambukeswarar temple at Thiruvanaikaval.

The presence of a large number of energy equipment manufacturing units in and around the city has earned it the title of "Energy Equipment and Fabrication Capital of India". It is located on the banks of the river Cauvery. This trading city has fine infrastructural facilities. Modern Trichy is developed around the Rock Fort and it is a commercial city as well as a pilgrim centre. It has well-connected roads and railways to all the important cities within India. Trichy airport has flights to Chennai, Sharjah, Kuwait, Singapore, Malaysia, Colombo etc.

Trichy Tourism has a lot of enthusiastic, cultural, and architectural heritage places. They are Grand Anaicut, Samayapuram Mari Amman Temple, Kumaravayalur Murugan Temple, and Mukkombu. Tiruchirappalli is also noted for its beautiful churches, mosques, and missions dating back to 1760. The trading city with fine infrastructural facilities is a good base to explore central Tamil Nadu.
